The Opportunity

For more than 25 years, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has been the convener of the video game industry. However, in 2020, E3 was forced to cancel due to COVID-19.

With travel restrictions still in place, and vaccines not yet widely available by late 2020, it became clear that ESA needed a dynamic event strategy that would allow E3 to make a comeback in 2021.

As a result of working with 360 Live Media and its partners, ESA identified a monumental opportunity to develop a digital broadcast of E3, and extend its reach to a global audience of media, industry professionals, and video game fans who had never been able to attend the in-person event.
